Michael Turlin has spent around 50 years in construction, progressing from labouring and trades through site management to projects management. That experience means Construction Buddies speaks from inside the industry, not from the outside looking in.

Decades on building sites have shaped Michael’s understanding of the pressures, pride, humour and challenges found across the industry.
Lived experience
After reaching a personal crisis in 2009, Michael rebuilt his life and later chose to speak openly about what happened so other people might feel able to talk sooner.
Purpose today
Construction Buddies, Bentley Mental Health, workplace talks and the books all share one purpose: helping create conversations that can make a difference.
